Foundation as a Youth led Community Based Organisation (CBO) has designed a number of income generating projects that tend to train, equip, mentor and empower the youths in and around Kampala with hands on and entrepreneurship skills to empower them earn a daily income to better their lives thus contributing to the economy of the country.

Reach the girl child tailoring project

a hands on skills development project aimed at equipping the vulnerable youth mainly young mothers with skills that can enable them earn a living. Much as this project’s main entry is tailoring skills training, it also has sections of hair dressing training, Basic computer skills training, Bakery and art & craft.

Sanitary pads making

Budndibgyo, Reusable Sanitary Pads Making Training and Menstrual Hygiene Management Capacity Strengthening. 250 girls and boys were trained from the 14th till the 15th of June, 2019.

Saving and lending scheme

A group of 10 youths save 1,000/= each every Friday of the week and from this money they have managed to start a poultry project using the model of one member getting 10 chicks after 4 months in 2018.

Success stories

Sexuality/menstrual hygiene

Four hundred and seventy girls in three schools were trained in menstrual hygiene, provided with reusable sanitary pads, given skills on how to use and keep them clean; and theoretical skills on how to make them.

Community health/Community outreach

Through the "stand with me campaign", five villages of mulago iii parish were sensitized about Hepatitis B and three hundred people were medically tested for Hepatitis B.

Spiritual mentorship

Fifty Bible study sessions were held, spiritual mentoring eighty seven young people.

Youth Empowerment

  1. Through the confidence building training, fifty young people were empowered to build their self-esteem.
  2. Through the hands on skills development, fourth five youths and three households were empowered in paper bead jewelry and African rubber sandal making.
  3. Through the youth empowerment through income generation, three youth groups of five members were provided with ten local breed chicks each.

Advocacy and National policy development Involvement

Three (3) radio talk shows and two (2) Workshops on children and youth related issues were attended.

Education Uplifting In Iwemba Sub - County Bugiri District

The beneficiary has so far completed one off the two years training course and we are very optimistic that she will complete the entire course and will even go for a diploma.
